I graduated from Western Carolina University with a bachelor’s in Special Education, Learning Disabilities and Intellectual Disabilities, K-12, in 1999. In 2008 I achieved National Board Certification in the areas of Early Childhood to Young Adult, Severe-Profound Disabilities, ages 5-21. In 2011, I graduated from Western Carolina University with a master’s in Special Education K-12, with a concentration in Severe Disabilities. I have taught at Clyde Elementary from 2001-2004 and from January 2010-present. I am married to Adam and we have four children; a son (Sam) , a daughter (Kacy) , a stepdaughter (Leanna), and a daughter (Kaylee) .
