Lauren King

Hi! My name is Lauren King and I teach 4th grade here at Clyde.  I started working at Clyde Elementary in 2012 and I am so proud to be a part of the Clyde Cardinal family. I worked in Title 1 my first two years.  I also have a degree in Interior Design and still like to channel my inner Joanna Gaines on occasion. My true calling has always been teaching, even if it took some time and alternate routes to figure it out. Nothing is more fulfilling to me than making a difference in a child’s life. I love to inspire them and watch them grow and learn everyday!

I have been proud to call Haywood County home my whole life. After graduating from Tuscola High School, I attended Western Carolina University. I have been married for almost ten years and have two precious girls, Avery, and Sadie Wren. I love to travel and vacationing is a high-priority in my family. I also love to take pictures, which just provides another good excuse to travel! When not traveling, I enjoy spending time outside with my family, reading, and watching football.
