Hello Clyde Elementary Community! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with each of you as your assistant principal. I want to take the time to tell you a little bit about myself.

Grade Level/Subject Taught/ Position:

Assistant Principal. I have taught 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th,10th,11th,12th Grade Science. I have been an educator at Clyde Elementary, Canton Middle, Waynesville Middle, Pisgah, and Tuscola.

Personal work experience and past careers:

When I was in college I worked as a residence assistant and secretary for the UNCA Education department. During summers I worked as a lifeguard and Summer camp worker.

As an educator, I have taught many different grade levels in science, ranging from 7th general science to 12th grade AP Biology. I was a stay-at-home mom for a few years when my kids were younger. I have also worked at our family’s gym as a personal trainer.

Kids/Family/Pets:

I have been married to Anthony Tiller since 1999 and we have three children, Aleck & Emma Grace (twins), and Ella Marye. We have a miniature schnauzer names Stormy, a cat named Chester, and six chickens, Blackie, Lucy and Ethel, Duck, BJ, and Sour.

Where are you from?

I was born in Asheville and grew up in Canton.

Hobbies:

I love running long distances outside, crafting and painting, hanging out with family, and singing to the top of my lungs in the car.

Fun Facts about you:

I love worshiping God and serving others. I love to dance although I am not very good at it. I think if you have a positive attitude and a willingness and desire to change things for the better, life is sweeter for you and those around you!
